UK Power Networks Services has signed a new four-year agreement with Southern Water Services to continue providing power support across the company’s 400 sites in the south of England.
The contract, which began on 1 April 2025, ensures continued high and low voltage maintenance and 24-hour support. It builds on a relationship that has been in place since 2008.
Southern Water provides water services to around 2.7 million people and wastewater services to more than 4.7 million across Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Reliable power supply is essential to maintain these services for households, businesses and communities in the region.
David Mitchell, Director at UK Power Networks Services, said: “We look forward to continuing our work with Southern Water. Ensuring reliable power supply to water and wastewater sites is critical for the resilience of services that millions of people depend on.”
Southern Water added that the continued agreement supports its commitments to maintain service reliability and meet the needs of customers across its region.
