De Nora Water Technologies has introduced Oxicore™, a next-generation, underwater chlorine dioxide generator in its Capital Controls® range. The modular system will officially debut at the Global Water Expo in Saudi Arabia.
Oxicore™ achieves up to a 99% ClO₂ yield with exact dosing and on-demand production. Its modular skid design enables operators to scale capacity easily by adding units, reducing spare parts requirements and installation complexity.
Designed as the industry’s **safest underwater reactor**, Oxicore™ eliminates atmospheric tanks, incorporates onboard leak detection and fail-safe shutdowns, and continuously dilutes the reaction to prevent gas build-up—ensuring safe, accessible maintenance.
Using hydrochloric acid and sodium chlorite in a submerged reactor, Oxicore™ generates chlorine dioxide on demand. It can inject ClO₂ directly into pressurised pipes or basins and suits applications ranging from municipal drinking water and industrial process water to scalable containerized disinfection solutions.
Chlorine dioxide is a selective and powerful disinfectant that does not form disinfection byproducts like THMs, aligning with growing requirements for safer, more sustainable water treatment methods.
Built on over 45 years of chlorine dioxide expertise and more than 400 installations globally, Oxicore™ represents the latest evolution in the Capital Controls® portfolio of water treatment systems.
