GF has launched the new Type 4170 Sensor—an inline turbidity monitoring solution designed to provide real-time measurement with reduced maintenance and seamless integration when paired with its Type 8640 Transmitter.
Turbidity is a crucial indicator in water treatment, influencing regulatory compliance, equipment protection, and water quality assurance. Traditional bypass systems often come with sampling delays and complex maintenance. The inline Type 4170 offers an efficient alternative with no sampling delays, fewer parts to service, and built-in resistance to colour variations.
The Type 4170 features a slanted optical head, NIR illumination, and a PPSU light absorber to minimize cleaning needs and maintain accuracy under varying water conditions. Its inline design reduces bubble interference and sediment buildup. Multi-point factory calibration ensures stable measurement across a wide turbidity range.
Luca Barz, Global Product Manager at GF, states: “The Type 4170 inline turbidity sensor is compact, rugged and ISO 7027-compliant. Paired with the Type 8640 Transmitter, it provides water treatment professionals with a cost-effective, low-maintenance, high-accuracy monitoring system ready to meet today’s challenges.”
